New Jammies

Michael gave all of us girls new jammies for Valentine's Day. Sophia and Sasha were so excited that they all matched!

Updates

Stella is a full-blown walker now. She strolls around the house like she owns the place...almost like she is supervising the rest of us as we go about our day. She officially started walking the first week of February, a few days before her 11 month mark.

Sasha is now a big girl....i.e., no more diapers!!! Potty training only took a few days. After a slow start, she took to it pretty quickly. We didn't even have to bribe her with "potty treats" like we did Sophia. Yeah, Sash!

Sophia is doing great, too. She is learning so much this year. She has been reading beginner books to us for a couple of months (books with mostly 3 and 4 letter words that she can sound out). She can get through all of "Hop on Pop" without any help!! Michael and I are starting to realize that our days of spelling out things we don't want the kids to hear/understand are numbered.

We spent some time this weekend taping some silly stuff...

1.) Sophia's rendition of "A-too-tee-tah"...I have no idea if that is how you spell it, but it is a little ditty she learned at school. She told me her teacher has the kids sing it when they need to get their wiggles out.



2.) Sasha's prayer that she says every night at bedtime.



3.) The following is a clip of Stella's training regimen we've started her on in order to prepare her for the 2012 Olympics. We're not sure which sport she'll be trying out for just yet, but we thought a Rocky IV'esque work-out is just what she needs to get herself into shape. Unfortunately, we don't have any footage of her doing sit-ups from the rafters or drinking egg yolk from her bottle.

We had fun day on Thursday with Sophia out of school. We visited Auntie Edie and Dudley and then went to Lollilocks for little girl haircuts. The girls wanted to pose for pictures when we got home, so here you are....

Deliquent blogger

Apparently this blog is on the "one update per month" plan. Hey, you get what you pay for.

After Christmas we took a trip north to see our families in both Montana and South Dakota. We once again managed to grace the doctors in Deadwood with our presence. Stella was the perpetrator (again), and she is now the proud owner of a "regular patient" file at the Deadwood Clinic. Before heading home, we managed to spread the bug to: Sasha, Grandma Inger, Michael, Uncle Nic, Laurie, Grammy Cathie, Aunt Mary, Grandma Lil and Hannah. You're welcome. ;-)

Now we're home and re-settled into our regular schedules again. Sasha started potty training this weekend, and it is coming along verrrrry slowly...this kid definitely has her own plan. Soph potty trained a bit earlier in age and pretty quickly. It is interesting to see the personality differences continuing to appear.

Stella has been close to walking for about a month. She can take 3-4 steps on her own, but she doesn't know how to put the brakes on yet. She ends up diving into the couch or whoever is waiting to catch her. You can see in her eyes how badly she wants to be up and running around with her big sisters.

We are very excited to have a new niece!! Congrats to Missy, Cas and Jackson on Mila May's arrival. I can't wait to meet her soon!!!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas!! We missed seeing our families, but we really enjoyed staying home and not having to white knuckle the roads through Wyoming, SoDak, and Montana with the three meatballs this year.
